Earth Fest

Sunday (10:00 AM - 05:00 PM)

Audubon Zoo

Audubon Zoo does its part to help spread the message of conservation with its annual Earth Fest celebration. Earth Fest is a fun way for zoo visitors to learn about saving the environment. Exhibitors representing groups from the non-profit and governmental sectors as well as businesses involved with environmental issues will help Zoo visitors answer questions for prizes on the Earth Quest game. Great food and crafts available for purchase!

Special kids’ activities abound at Earth Fest such as creating toys from recyclable materials and observing art in progress by folk artists. And for bigger kids, dancing to live music works up an appetite for spectacular New Orleans cuisine available for purchase at Swamp Fest. Participants also have a chance to see the Audubon Zoo’s famous exhibits, like white tigers, the Komodo dragon, Jaguar Jungle and the Louisiana Swamp.

Saturday, March 17 – Marvel Super Heroes: Avenger’s Show & Bands from 20 East bank Jefferson Parish schools will perform from 10 am to Noon
Sunday, March 18 – The winners of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Crescent City Talent Showcase will perform from 10 am to Noon on the main stage. This group was selected by a professionally judged competition open to anyone from 3 years of age to high school senior. Talent categories include vocal, dance and general variety. Top winners of the competition are invited to perform at other area events like Celebration In The Oaks, Earth Fest, and many others.
