Crawfest

Saturday April 21 (11:00 AM - 09:00 PM)

Tulane University, LBC

Crawfest is an annual music, food and arts festival, located on Tulane University’s uptown campus. Each year 10,000 – 12,000 community members and students enjoy 12 bands, 16,000+ pounds of crawfish, and stand after stand of local food and art vendors. The event attracts mostly college students, but all are welcome to the festival on campus. While alcohol is not sold at Crawfest, it can be consumed by anyone 21 and over. Crawfest does not allow coolers, glass, or cans into the event, but plastic and drinks in cups are allowed. Beer is available for sale in The Rat, located in the basement of the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life (adjacent to the Quad where Crawfest will be). Beer/Liquor will also be on sale at The Boot Store, located at Broadway St. & Zimple St. (a 3 minute walk from Crawfest).

The 2012 Crawfest lineup includes: GALACTIC, ALO, ERIC LINDELL, SOL DRIVEN TRAIN, MISSISSIPPI RAIL COMPANY, LOS POBOY-CITOS, HIGHER HEIGHTS, and ERIKA FLOWERS.

This year’s food vendors include: Creole Cupcakes, La Divina Gelateria, Plum Street Snowballs, Woody’s Fish Tacos, Cajun Moon Catering, and more to come!

Art Vendors for Crawfest will include: In Exchange, Marigold Pascual, Midnight Girl Designs, Miss Malaprop, Wormtown Trading, Still Waters Jewelry, and more to come!
